Albanian Agricultural Competitiveness Project 2012

During 2007 - 2012 IDRA was a local subcontractor of AAC/Project in Albania. This five-year program supported the sustained growth of Albania’s agricultural sector and increase in rural household income by developing and strengthening the competitiveness capacity of producers of high-value agricultural products. The AAC program assisted farmers in improving the productivity of their operations and their responsiveness to trade conditions and opportunities.

EDEM project focused on increasing economic opportunity to raise the standard of living and facilitate Albania’s entrance into the global marketplace. In order to improve competitiveness, the project assisted Albanian businesses to increase the effectiveness of their operations by supporting their efforts to implement management plans, marketing and promotional strategies, develop new products, and upgrade their technologies.

Albanian School Stakeholders Survey and Field Experiment 2009

IDRA in cooperation with Oxford University, funded by World Bank, has implemented a major research project on the Public School System in Albania. The research focused on governance and accountability and employed traditional survey methods (quantitative survey) as well as controlled field experiments (qualitative research) to measure the attitudes of stakeholders (parents of students, teachers, school principals, members of school boards and other community members) toward governance in the education sector and their preferences for accountability and transparency.
